Transnational Project Meeting

Dumbraveni, Romania

16 – 18 December

On December 16-18, 2019, the first transnational project meeting was held within the strategic partnership "Schools United by Science (contract number 2019-1-RO01-KA229-063097_1), which is being carried out under the aegis of the Erasmus + program of the European Union. The meeting took place at the "Mihai Eminescu" High School in Dumbrăveni and brought together coordinators and teachers from the six partner countries in the project (Romania, Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Bulgaria and Spain). The meeting started with the official opening, made by the headmaster of the school, Mrs. Apetrei Mihaela and by the project coordinator, Mrs. Bardan Simona, and continued with a tour of the host school, in which the excellent equipment of the laboratories and the classrooms was noted, as well as the similarities related to the educational act.

The main purpose of the meeting was to sign the official documents of collaboration between partners, but also to plan the next activities of the project (September 1, 2019 - August 31, 2021). During the working sessions discussions were held and decisions were made on the following topics: evaluation of the activities carried out so far, establishing the Action Plan, the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, the Dissemination Plan, development of the website, planning of future physical mobility (C1 - Spain, C2 - Lithuania, C3 - Italy, C4 - Turkey, C5 - Bulgaria, C6 - Romania and M2 - Lithuania), establishing the strategies for successful achievement of final results and products (students’ presentations, student written products and skills acquired by pupils and teachers), using MobilityTool, Erasmus + platforms for dissemination and exploitation of results and eTwinning, as well as Europass portfolio within the project.

The cultural program of the meeting included attending some artistic moments specific to the winter holidays made by the students of our school, as well as visiting sights of great importance in Suceava city.

I believe that the first transnational project meeting was of crucial importance for the good organization of the activities within the "Schools United by Science" project, representing a valuable exchange of best practices and ideas between the participating teachers, as well as an unforgettable experience due to the warmth, hospitality and the cheerfulness of the hosts.

                                                                     Project coordinator Bardan Simona
